Production Madness Presents: Aud.Madness

The alternative band Aud.Madness, announced the release of their first album in early 2021. Pre-orders officially started on January 29, with the full release scheduled on March 5th, 2021. Equipped with ten tracks, the album explores an array of styles, genres, and ideas as the project is not meant to fit into any particular musical box, but was launched with the purpose of offering genuine music. The band was started in Prague, Czech Republic, by Spencer Sherwood, and was later joined by Colton Cutchens. Recording for the album began in February of 2020 just before the pandemic started, and continued, off and on, till the middle of November. After finishing the last bits of recording, Spencer set off to mix and master the album, finishing in early January 2021.
When the global pandemic started, it quickly became clear that playing live shows wouldn’t be an option for quite some time. Due to public health restrictions, and with the financial benefits of being a musician, Spencer took to recording the album in his apartment bedroom. Using two guitars, his pedalboard, a handful of microphones, and various side instruments, including a glockenspiel, synths, and a riq, the tracks began to take shape. He relied on tips and tricks he had previously learned in a recording production class taught by Jerry Douglas Geist (Santa Fe Center Studios) to record and process the audio. When it came time to record the drums, the Czech Republic was fortunately allowing certain businesses to operate at specific capacities, and the boys were able to track and record at Plug’n’Play’s studio.
Band Members
A guitarist of fifteen years, Spencer Sherwood is responsible for writing and performing everything but the drums on the album. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, he decided to move to Prague, Czech Republic to start a musical career in 2019. Once there, he joined a cover band named Morpho, which Colton would later join as well. Spencer has band experience that stems from childhood and is a self-taught songwriter.
Colton Cutchens, drummer extraordinaire, performed and co-wrote the drums for the album. From Neosho, Missouri, Colton has been playing drums for over twenty years, including experience playing in various bands (cover bands and originals), performing nightly for a dueling piano bar, and teaching master classes. He moved to Prague in 2018 in order to be an English teacher and to build his musical career.

Aud.Madness is the first band to be represented by Production Madness. Production Madness is an artistic production company looking to build successful careers for artists that focus on the creation of Audio, Video, Photos, Writing and more.
